I meant for this to be more :)

So I meant to write a very thoughtful back to school blog.  This blog would have outlined all the things that I love about my kids, why they will succeed this year. This blog would have been thoughtful, heartwarming, and extremely moving.  Instead life happened.  I am struggling to keep on top of work, family, and life.  So instead of the wonderful blog I have dreamt up  I will be doing a typical photo dump to make sure these memories are captured and I don't all together abandon writing about these moments.

I do know I love these photos and, even more, the people in them.

Farmer Mac.  Out on his way to feed the ducks.  Yes our drive still has the construction materials down and we have not yet installed sod.  Our drive and yard are as messy as our life, but we love it.

These two cuties on their first day of School.  Milo's going to 1st grade and Liesel started Pre-K.
To say Milo was excited is a gross understatement.

Look a picture with Mom.

Milo outside of Ms. Boyer's classroom.  Ms. Boyer was Milo's kindergarten teacher and she has moved to 1st grade this year.  Milo got her again and he couldn't be happier

Outside of school playing with some friends.

Liesel and Ms. Jan.

Liesel and the Smith Girls

Liesel and Mommy

Liesel looking adorable for her first day.

Excited Boy.

Milo missed Liesel so much while she was at school.  I loved capturing this little moment.  It wasn't even set up by me.

Our Oldest.  Bosco still looks great, but at 11 he doesn't hear anything and is perfectly content sitting on the front porch.

The Aschermann's are reunited with Abigail and Noah, their friends from the summer.

Liesel is all ready to watch the solar eclipse.

Liesel reading Mac a bedtime story before nap time.

Fun at the Park.

Milo and Noah on their way to the Zoo.  I'll be honest I wasn't super excited to take Scott's spot as field trip chaperone, but I ended up having a blast with these boys.

Elephant Milo.

The boys.

Ms. Boyer's 1st Grade Class

Mom got some mom time.  Some awesome girls from work and I did a Marathon Relay up Copper Mountain.  So much fun and so much work.

Pool time with Quinn and Josie

We got baby chickens and Liesel can't get over how "adoble" they are!

Maddox looking ridiculously cute at the Harvest Festival Parade!
