The joys of motherhood are endless, but so are the challenges. Though I am a mother to three great kiddos, I am not a perfect mother, nor will I ever be. Maddox is teething, constantly battling a cold and frustrated with his inability to communicate all his wants. Liesel is three, a stubborn three, a girl not ready to give up babyhood, but still wanting to keep up with her older brother. Milo is on constant watch to make sure all is exactly equal: sizes of cakes, scoops of ice cream, number of new items, minutes of mom's attention, the list is ENDLESS. Unfortunately my patience is not. I know I have spent too much time over the last month yelling, frustrated and generally joining in the tantrum furry of my little ones. I think (I really hope I am not along on this one) that we all fall of the motherhood train every once in awhile. I will move on into the spring time with the knowledge that I am not perfect, but noting the imperfection is a step in the right direction.
Though they challenge me they are also wonderful and adorable. On to some pics….

Every once in awhile I try to sneak out of work and take this guy to lunch. Just the two of us. He loves it!

Milo and Sloane…I have no words except Love!
Our house construction has really gained momentum. It has been so much fun seeing our dream come together. I can not wait for the day we are moved in and we are sitting on the deck enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. We have owned the farm for 4 years. It has been a long 4 years and I am sure there are some challenges ahead of us, but I know that it will be well worth the wait. We are so excited for this next chapter!
Black cow and Little Cow
and then there's this moment. Scott and I were discussing some house items. We looked down on this chilly day to see Milo putting his vest on his sister. A moment worth all the bad ones. A moment when I realize, I am doing something right…
House looking great... what a view... will be worth it all when you are able to move to your own house and not be renters... :) You will have the house and land that I always dreamed about....Country living but still in the city or close to civilization....... Yes-- having three little ones can be a challenge. Erik and Brenna deal with an 8 year old, 6, 4 and 3. Never a dull moment there!.... see you in a month or so.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture of Milo putting his vest on Liesel is worth a thousand words. It sums up so much, and you are definitely doing so many things right to help bring moments like that into being, Jane. Love that - xoxo Miranda
