Time is Weird

I started this post like this.....So, its March, almost April, and I just checked and the last time I blogged was in January.  I cannot believe that we are almost a quarter of the way through 2024.

Fast Forward to....So, its May, almost June, and I checked and the last time I blogged was still in January.  Life is CRAZY!  This is why I haven't bogged in almost 6 months and this is my second attempt.  If I am being honest I have a meeting in 21 minutes so there is a strong possibility that there will be a third attempt.

For the sack of time here are the highlights:

  • Aschermann Consulting is going gang busters
  • Scott no longer works at BDI...TBD on what his next chapter will be...for now we are loving having him home.
  • Scott and I went on a true vacation to San Antonio
  • Milo's regular season hockey team won State and League.
  • Milo decided to retire from baseball and play Hockey Spring League and Golf
  • Milo traveled to Minnesota for his spring hockey season
  • Liesel continues to ride like a champion
  • Liesel is playing softball and is the world's best teammate
  • Maddox's wrapped up his first year of competitive hockey
  • Maddox is loving his new DC baseball team.  Two tournament championships so far and the season is still early
Coming up tomorrow the kids will have finished up their school year.  Milo will be an 8th grader, Liesel is leaving elementary school and will be a 6th grader, and Maddox will be in 4th grade.

Dear Time, I am writing this letter to request that you slow down.  Please consider this proposition.  Best, Jane Aschermann

Makela and Liesel.  I love these girls' relationship.  Liesel went to her first concert with Makela.  The saw Tim McGraw.  Call her mom jealous.

Milo's team went to Canada to play in Silversticks.  Scott and I made a visit to Niagara Falls.  It was very impressive

Scott and I went out with the parents during the Silversticks tournament.  It is so nice that Milo is now old enough to be left alone.

This year we made an ice rink in our yard.  It was short lived because of weather, but it was fun while it lasted.

Maddox helping Dad finish the staircase.  A bonus in having Scott home, he can finally finish some house projects.

For my birthday we went to the Illusion Museum.  It was worth the visit.

Scott did a thing.  I finally locked him down.

Milo won a shoot out and got to participate at Ball Arena for the finals.

She's all finished....well....still needs a handrail....but getting closer.

It was the most wonderful time of the year!

The holiday season has come and gone.  It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. I am not sure why this is. Is it the anticipation of gifts (both giving and receiving), the week of work, the time with Family and Friends, the celebration with food and drink?  I suppose it is all of these things that make the holiday spirit.  Whatever it is we got all of it this year.

Cousin Ski time.  I do think the cousin relationship may be one of the most special relationships there are.  They are like siblings without the fighting.  It is sibling 2.0.
