Another School year has gone

We have finished another school year.  Milo had a great year in 2nd Grade.  He really bonded with his teach Ms. Carvalho and has such a good group of friends.  He started baseball this year and loves it almost as much as he loves hockey.  Liesel smashed Kindergarten.  We love Ms. Boyer and were excited to have another year with her.  Liesel also made some wonderful friends.  She has a lot of strong girls in her class.  They all keep each other on their toes.  Maddox had a little bit of a rough start in preschool, but ended strong.  He would never cry when we dropped him off, but he would often tear up in the middle of school and say “He missed his mom”.  That was not the case at the end of the year.  He grew to love his teachers, his speech therapist and of course the other kids.  He has one more year of preschool and I know that he will thrive.

We have moved into the summer with gusto.  The kids have had full schedule so far; pool, library, movies, swim lessons, dance, baseball, tutoring, and parks.  Baseball, Dance, and Swim have wrapped up for the summer leaving our July open for vacation.  We leave for Hawaii in a few weeks and until then I am sure Miss Jan and the kids will have no trouble finding stuff to keep them busy.  Liesel enjoyed dance and loved the dance recital.  Verdict is still out on what her "thing" will be.  At this point she does all activities strictly for the social aspect of it.  Can't say I blame her.  Milo LOVED baseball and has rated it up there with hockey.  They had a great season and so much fun.  He is working with a tutor, Miss May, for reading and he is really enjoying it and has grown so much.  The biggest thing I have noticed is that he is starting to like to read, which in my book is the number one goal.  If he likes it he will naturally get better.  Maddox has become quite a swimmer.  He has learned to dive for toys at the bottom of the pool.  He also got a medal at the end of swim lesson which was VERY important to hime.  The other priority of the summer for him was to get his own library card.  Pretty much if his brother and sister have it or can do it, it is a must for him.

Time Please

I have some time…what! Time, what a asset.  If I could ask more of anything it would be time.  More time to spend time with my family, more time to go through my emails, more time to complete my tasks at work, more time for me, more time to run errands, more time to sleep, just more time.  But at the end of the day I only 24 hours.  Below are a slew of photos to show how fast time is going… these kids are growing so fast and I know I will look back and think "where did the time go?"

Liesel is becoming a great little writer.  This is a sweet note she wrote her kindergarten teach, Ms. Boyer.

So…One morning at 7:00 am Ms. Jan comes in and says "Did you know your cows are on the corner of 82nd and Alkire?"  Nope, I did not know that.  Not sure what to do because Scott was out of town.  Of course Scott was out of town.  I headed up to check out the situation.  There was a cop, a facilities guy from Ralston Valley, and I called John for support.  We eventually started to walk the three them back home.  Yep this engineer, mother of three, ran a cattle drive at 7:30 on a Tuesday Morning.  My life?!?!  That night Milo helped me mend the broken fence.

Busted!

Maddox loves when I bring home plans for him to do his work on.  Start training the future engineers at a young age.
