Hawaii

We had soooo much fun in Hawaii!  I don't even have words for how wonderful it was.  I have to tell you that once you have kids traveling with family is the way to go.  We had lots of extra hands and it made the trip go so smoothly.  We went on a whale watch tour, ate some great meals, played in the pool and had a lot of beach time.  Milo and Liesel both loved the ocean.  In fact the only thing Milo loved more was Uncle Matthew's friend Bo.  He could not get enough of her.
A few quick Milo one liners…
  • "Do you think Bo will like my muscle shirt?"
  •  when asked what he wanted to eat, "What is Bo having?"
  • "Mommy, I am going to miss you when I move in with my new family."  "Why will you live with a  new family?",  "When I get married.  Do you think Bo will marry me?"

Liesel had a ball breaking all the rules and being adorable.  She had a small run in with the house cat, MoJo.  It turns out MoJo does not enjoy two year old hugs.  Maddox mostly enjoyed restful naps and snuggle time.  The only downfall was that Maddox has a new found hatred for the car. So all car rides were accompanied by Maddox screams.

Overall it was an awesome trip!

Nap time with Nana

Liesel thought the rocking of the whale tour boat was perfect for napping.  She did not see any whales, but got a killer nap.

The Last of 2014

We have wrapped up 2014.  I have to say that time this year truly flew by.  I know that everyone says it, but it is so true that time goes by so fast once you start having kids.  The days are long but the years fly by.  I can't believe that Maddox is already two months old, Liesel is two and Milo four.  Where has the time gone?  I will tell you…It got wrapped up in poopy diapers, tears, arguments, laughter, cuddles, adventures, and new experiences.  It was spent missing the loved ones that weren't in our lives this year and enjoying the family and friends that were.  One thing I know for sure is that this mama does not take the time to really appreciate where she is in her life.  I am planning on making a true effort to stop, breath and try to enjoy the good moments and better handle the less enjoyable ones.  This is my life and I am starting to fear that if I blink I will miss it.   Here's to living.

Liesel working the strider.  She rode it all the way to the park which is about a half a mile.  She is a determined one.
