Happy Mother's Day from Aschermann Consulting

I have had the privilege to build a firm of incredible women.  I put together a Mother's Day Post for my company and wanted to share it here.  My work, not just the tangible work, but the relationships I have developed through my industry and the opportunities I have been given and been able to share is a huge part of who I am.  It is part of my story and so I wanted to share.

Happy Mother’s Day from Aschermann Consulting, a women-owned business powered by moms built on grit and driven by purpose. In our industry of development and site design, we pride ourselves on being gritty, resilient, and relentless problem-solvers. We meet deadlines, we think creatively, and we deliver real, tangible results. Many days, we walk away with plans submitted, issues resolved, and praise from clients or colleagues to validate our hard work.

But at home, it’s different. The work is just as demanding, often more so, and the outcomes less immediate. There are fewer accolades, fewer items taken off the to-do list, and the milestones come slower. The hours are long and starting your second job after a full day in the office can seem impossible. And yet—we show up because we are gritty, resilient, and relentless problem-solvers. And no job will ever matter more than raising our children.

At Aschermann Consulting, we see you. We see the effort, the sacrifice, the dedication—and we know the incredible value you bring to your teams, your homes, and your communities. To all the moms in engineering—and everywhere—thank you.

Spring Photo Dump: Wrapping Up & Gearing Up

The first Quarter of this year has been a blur.  We closed out the hockey season, we are now sliding into baseball, kicking off horse shows, and yep, golf season is finally here too.

Hockey wrapped with proud hearts and tired legs after season full of hard work. Baseball is back with fresh gear, dirty cleats, and sunshine (mostly). Horse shows have us back in the ring—early mornings, and braided manes. Milo has traded in his hockey stick for a golf club.  And the end of the school year is just around the corner.

We’re catching our breath and getting ready for summer, but for now, here’s peek into all the action.

Enjoy the photo dump—this is what family life looks like in motion.

These two teenagers really do love each other.  I can't believe Milo is going to be in highschool next year and Liesel is finishing up 6th grade!

My favorite baseball team in the whole world.  We love these boys and families!

The cows are enjoying the spring weather

Maddox had to dress up as a mountain man for a school performance.  This is what I pieced together the night before from Goodwill.  Yep, that hat is made out of old slippers.

Best buds.

Can you tell she LOVES it!

These two are the cutest.

Maddox's end of the year party.  I was his team manager this year so I have a lot of photos of his team and none of Milo's (this year).  Sorry Milo.

Scott has started to participate in the shows this year.  He figures if he has to be there he might as well join in on the fun.

St. Kitts for Janet's 70th

There are birthdays, and then there are milestonesand Janet’s 70th was one for the books. We knew we had to do something special for a woman who’s been the heart of our family and the glue of our lives. So, we pulled off a surprise she’d never forget: a tropical getaway to St. Kitts to visit Garrett!

St. Kitts was the perfect backdrop to celebrate a life so fully and beautifully lived. We soaked up every second—beach time, pool lounging, delicious food, tropical drinks, lots of laughs and good conversation.

Family Dinner to surprise Janet with a thrip to St. Kitts

I recently heard that the secret to being a great Nana is simple: “Just show up.” Janet Shows up.  She shows up to all the baseball, all the hockey, all the horses, all the school events.  No mater what it is she shows up!

Janet had to put together a puzzle from pieces gathered throughout the day to solve her birthday surprise.

Her first clue was given to her at Maddox's Hockey Game.

Of course Bob and Jan joined us for her birthday dinner
