Too good to forget

Maddox has had some good ones lately:
  • Maddox started preschool this year.  His best gal pal has always been our family friend, Josie.  At preschool he met a new friend Olivia.  He came home a little twitter-pated. He said “Momma, I am going to have to tell Josie about Olivia and Oliva about Josie.  I think I will just say Oliva, this is Josie.  Josie, this is Olivia.”  What a little Casanova and considerate of everyone’s feelings.
  • We went downtown this weekend and were playing at Confluence Park near the Platte River.  Liesel and Maddox were both playing on the steps into the Platte River when Maddox miss-stepped and fell into the river.  I couldn’t reach him and pull him out, so in I went.  Clothes and all.  The good news is that this all happened next to REI so I was able to trench through REI, sopping wet and buy new clothes for both Maddox and I.  When you ask Maddox about this event his comment is, “I sunk and Momma got new clothes”.  He misses the very beginning and the middle part of the story but nails the end.
  • On Sunday Maddox came in from playing with Milo and Liesel and said, “I am so tired Momma can I take a rest?”  He then laid down on the couch and took a nap.

Liesel had one too:
·         Liesel: Mom I would really like to be a Japanese for Halloween.
·         Me:  Excuse me?
·         Liesel:  I would like to be a Japanese.
·         Me: * Long pause*
·         Liesel:  You know, like in the Greatest Showman?
·         Me:  Ahh, a trapeze.  Sigh of relief.

A Milo moment:

This year MIlo's class was tasked with voting for one boy and one girl in their class to represented them at student council.  The rules were to write down one boy's name and one girl's name, it can't be your own.  This resulted with Milo being voted to student council.  Milo was very proud of himself as were Scott and I.
