Adding work to this crazy life seems a bit daunting right now. My job is getting more and more demanding, as all careers do, and now we have three kids. This includes morning and mid-day daycare and preschool drop offs, taking care of sick kids and knowing that if one gets sick all three are down for the count. There will be the crazy mornings where you feel like you need a nap by the time you get to work at 8:00 (maybe 8:15 wink, wink). There will be the night time tornado dance of cooking dinner, feeding the kids, nursing, packing bags, cleaning diapers, helping with homework, baths, teeth, books, and we better not forget potty time or we will be woken up at 3:00am by a very wet and unhappy 4 year old. There will be the days that I will feel as though I am missing out on my kiddos by not being home with them and the days that I thank the Lord that I get to go to work. I will have the moments where I feel insanely guilty that my coworkers are staying late and I need to leave to pick up the kids. I hope they know I will be logging back on to work after the kiddos go to bed. I love my career and love my family even more. Though I will struggle with it, I know that I will find the balance required to be a good mom and a good employee. I have an incredible support system in my husband, mother, in-laws and great daycare. So am I ready? Absolutely…with some trepidation.
The many ridiculously cute faces of Maddox. He is starting to coo and I have even gotten a couple little giggles out of him. He seems to be more vocal at this age than his brother and sister. Man I will miss this face during the day!
Maddox is not a huge fan of the bottle, but Grammy helped talk him through it. He is getting better and better at it and will be just fine with Grandma Laurie.
Milo and Sloane
Bed Time - The are both asleep with book in hand. I love it!
At the airport ready for San Francisco after their 3:00 am wake-up call. I have to say they really are good little travelers.
Liesel found an Ana wig at Scott's second cousin's house. A big thanks to to Cathy and Roy for letting us stay at their place. I have to say having separate rooms and toys galore was a huge step up from having all five of us in a hotel room.
Milo found an awesome fire house lego set.
Tea Time
Maddox and Mommy. I have to do some selfies for proof that I really was there.
more vacation means more iPads
The kids museum in Palo Alto.
Liesel and Mommy
Milo and Liesel were suppose to be napping at our friends place. After a couple hours Milo comes out and says, "Mommy come see what Liesel did." This is what I found. She took all of their clothes out of the dresser and apparently tried a lot on. That girl, if she's too quiet it probably means trouble.
Teagan and Maddox
Milo, Taylor and Connor
Liesel and her giraffe costume. She napped in this that day. Side note on Liesel, she is really starting to talk a lot and is putting words together. It has been fun to hear what is going on in that little head.
Playing with the Magna-tiles
This is how we roll when traveling.
Milo fell asleep during our movie night.
Big Boy Maddox
Milo jumping at Connor's 6th Birthday Party. I cannot believe my favorite nephew is 6!!!
