Liesel's First Smiles

Time is flying by and it is almost Christmas.  I have most of my shopping done and am excited to get together with our families to celebrate.  I am so lucky that my family and Scott's family get along so well.  It makes the holidays truly enjoyable.   Nothing brings Christmas to life better than little kids.  Milo is starting to get into the Christmas spirit a little bit.  He knows who Santa is (but will not sit on his lap or go anywhere close to him for a photo opt.) and he loves finding his "Elf-on-a-Shelf" every morning.  I know he will enjoy opening presents and his favorite pass time at Nana's house is pointing out the ornaments and checking out her village.  Having Liesel around has made every day feel like Christmas.  I would be more than happy if she was all I received this year for Christmas.

 My sweet, adorable girl

Dad pushing Sloane and Milo in the stroller while carrying Liesel in the front pack and drinking hot chocolate (with some spirits added).  Santa here we come.

Milo refused to sit on Santa's lap (actually screamed in terror), but Liesel was more than happy to snuggle with Mr Claus.

 Waiting for the sleigh ride.

Our little girl started to smile this week.  So much fun!

Liesel's Meet and Greet

After little Liesel was born Nana decided that she would like to have a little "Meet and Greet" party for her.  It was so much fun to show off my sweet little girl and to be surrounded by wonderful women.  Liesel is now stocked with a beautiful wardrobe. She is officially better dressed than her Mama.

One thing that happens with little girls that is not as prominent with little boys is the dress up...and the fun begins.  Adorable shades and a fabulous hat!

 Is this all for me.
I have said it many times...and it is the truth...I have the best mother in law ever!!  Thanks for the beautiful party Nana!

I hope that one day Liesel finds a friend that she loves as much as I love Aunty Candace.

Milo's First Hair cut

I have really been enjoying my maternity leave this time.   I think the second time around you worry less and enjoy the snuggles more.  Liesel is a great baby and Milo is becoming a wonderful big brother.    Scott traveled to Louisiana this week and will be gone for part of next week as well.  I survived my first solo mission with two kids.  Well, I might have had a lot of help from family and friends, but I would still give my self an A. Milo has really started to talk more.  He is becoming a little mimic.  We have learned that if you tell him not to say a particular word, he will.  He is his father's son...one stubborn dude!  Liesel  is doing everything she is suppose to...eat, look around, poop and sleep.  Life is good in the Aschermann house.

Milo got his first big boy hair cut....I swear it made him look a year older.

We all went on a field trip to the Colorado Judicial Center Opening.  Mom did the civil work on this project.  Milo thought the booties we had to wear were fantastic!

 What a doll

Well, hello there blue eyes!!!

We got our photos back from Milo's 2 year and Liesel newborn photo shoot...We have beautiful kiddos!  I will let the photos do the talking.....

Thanksgiving 2012

I can't believe that Thanksgiving has already come and gone.  It is officially the holiday season and I am feeling blessed.  I have two beautiful healthy kiddos, one awesome husband, a great dog and wonderful family and friends.  We went up to Glenwood for Thanksgiving.  Milo had a ball playing with his cousins and Liesel enjoyed a lot of lap time.  She even got to meet her Uncle Robert.  We tried to have the three "older" kids (Connor 3, Milo 2 and Joslyn 18 mos.)  share a room. We put them down at 8:00pm and when Uncle Brendan went to check on them at 9:30 they were all three laying in the turtle tent, giggling.  Though it was a lot of fun, sleeping was not high on the list so Milo ended up in our room.  So Milo, Liesel, Bosco, Mom and Dad all shared one room.  It was very cozy 😊.  Hopefully next time the sleeping will be as much of a success as the giggling.
